FISHING

I am fishing with a friend on the narrow walkway of a dock extending into the water. I take a fishing pole, throw one cast in and-- boom-- I have a strike! I can immediately feel that I have an enormous fish on the line, but I am nevertheless surprised at just how big it is when I pull it up onto the dock-- four or five feet long, and rather wide, sort of in the shape of a flounder. It's so long and unwieldy that the ends of the fish extend beyond the edges of the dock. Feeling somewhat squeamish-- it seems too strong to grab by hand, and I think it might bite me if I try to dehook it--I am hoping someone will use a net to help me control it. But the people on the dock just stand behind me. I can see I'm on my own.
