LOST CHILD This is the dream of a widow, aged 59, both of whose parents have died the preceding year: [In my dream] my mother is outside hunting for a child who is lost. It's dark, but there's a sliver of moon. I see my father looking out the window, but he doesn't come out or help. It's almost as if he has an idea where to look, but he won't. He's just waiting to see what happens. My mother hunts all over, looking and calling. I see her start to go into the woods. I want to yell and tell her not to. You're not supposed to go in there. Someplace in there the child could be trapped or held captive. | |||||||||||||
